1. Overview
This Content Policy applies to all content you create, upload, or generate using Button Maker, including:
- Images you upload to create button designs
- Text you add to button templates
- AI prompts you submit for image generation
- AI-generated images you create using our service
- Images saved to your library
By using Button Maker, you agree to follow these guidelines. We reserve the right to review, remove, or refuse any content that violates this policy.

AI Generation - Allowed Examples
When using AI image generation, you may create:
- Abstract patterns: Geometric shapes, gradients, artistic backgrounds
- Nature scenes: Flowers, landscapes, animals, weather
- Objects: Food, vehicles, buildings, everyday items
- Fictional characters: Original fantasy/sci-fi characters
- Style transfers: Apply artistic styles to your images
- Text-based designs: Typography, lettering, word art
3. Prohibited Content
You May NOT Create, Upload, or Generate:
3.1 Violence & Harm
- Graphic violence, gore, or mutilation
- Content promoting self-harm or suicide
- Torture or extreme cruelty
- Content celebrating or glorifying violence
- Weapons in threatening contexts
3.2 Sexual Content
- Explicit sexual content or pornography
- Nudity intended to be sexual
- Sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance)
- Non-consensual sexual scenarios
- Sexual fetish content
3.3 Hate & Discrimination
- Content targeting protected groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
- Hate symbols, slurs, or derogatory imagery
- Content promoting discrimination or supremacist ideologies
- Dehumanizing language or imagery
3.4 Illegal Activities
- Promotion of illegal drug use or manufacturing
- Instructions for illegal activities
- Content promoting theft, fraud, or scams
- Child exploitation (zero tolerance - reported to authorities)
- Terrorism or extremist content
3.5 Deception & Misinformation
- Deepfakes: Realistic fake images of real people without consent
- Impersonation: Content falsely claiming to be from another person or organization
- Misinformation: Deliberately false medical, scientific, or political claims
- Fake documents: Counterfeit IDs, certificates, or official documents
3.6 Intellectual Property Violations
- Copyrighted logos, characters, or artwork without permission
- Trademark infringement
- Counterfeit branded merchandise
- Reproducing others' creative work as your own
3.7 Harassment & Privacy
- Content targeting specific individuals for harassment
- Private information without consent (doxxing)
- Revenge content or non-consensual intimate imagery
- Cyberbullying or targeted abuse
4. AI-Specific Guidelines
AI Content Moderation: Our AI system includes safety filters that automatically screen prompts and may refuse to generate certain content. Even if the AI generates an image, you are still responsible for ensuring it complies with this policy.
4.1 Prompt Guidelines
When writing AI prompts, you should:
- Be specific and descriptive about what you want
- Avoid terms associated with prohibited content categories
- Not attempt to circumvent safety filters with creative spelling or encoding
- Not use prompts designed to generate harmful content indirectly
4.2 Real People
Important: You may not use AI to generate realistic images of identifiable real people (celebrities, politicians, private individuals) without their explicit consent. This includes:
- Generating faces of real people
- Placing real people in fabricated scenarios
- Creating content that could be mistaken for real photos of real people
4.3 AI-Generated Content Responsibility
You are responsible for AI-generated content you create, even if:
- The result was unexpected or different from your intent
- The AI misinterpreted your prompt
- You were experimenting with the system
If AI generates content that violates this policy, do not save, use, or distribute it. Use the "Report Bad Result" feature to flag issues.
4.4 Good Faith Use
We expect users to use AI features in good faith:
- Create content for legitimate button-making purposes
- Report unexpected inappropriate outputs
- Not deliberately test the limits of content filters
- Not share exploits or workarounds with others
5. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this Content Policy may result in escalating consequences:

Content removed, warning issued, account remains active

Temporary Suspension - Repeated or moderate violations
7-30 day suspension, AI credits may be forfeited, content removed

Permanent Ban - Severe or repeated violations
Account terminated, no refunds, may be reported to authorities if illegal
Zero Tolerance Categories
The following result in immediate permanent ban without warning:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) - Reported to NCMEC
- Content promoting terrorism
- Content promoting imminent violence against individuals
- Repeated creation of deepfakes without consent
Credit and Refund Policy for Violations
- AI credits used to generate prohibited content are non-refundable
- Suspended accounts do not receive refunds for remaining subscription time
- Terminated accounts forfeit all credits and subscription benefits
6. Appeal Process
If you believe your content was incorrectly flagged or your account was wrongly actioned, you may appeal:

- Reference any specific content or actions you're appealing
- Provide context for why you believe the decision was incorrect
Appeal Timeline
- Appeals are reviewed within 5-10 business days
- You will receive a written response explaining our decision
- Appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the original decision
- Final appeal decisions are binding
What Cannot Be Appealed
- Zero tolerance violations (CSAM, terrorism, etc.)
- Third appeals on the same violation
- Accounts terminated for fraud or abuse
7. Reporting Violations

- Within the app: Use the "Report" button if you encounter inappropriate content
- By email: Contact us through our Support Form
- AI generations: Use the "Report Bad Result" feature for problematic AI outputs
What to Include in Reports
- Description of the violation
- Screenshots if applicable (blur sensitive content)
- Username or email of violating account (if known)
- Any other relevant context
Report Handling
- All reports are reviewed by our team
- Reports are confidential - we don't reveal reporter identities
- False reports submitted in bad faith may result in action against the reporter
- We aim to review reports within 48 hours
Policy Updates
We may update this Content Policy as our service evolves. Significant changes will be announced via email and/or in-app notification. Continued use of Button Maker after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
